AUTONOMOUS TAKE OFF AND LANDING OF THE SHARC TECHNOLOGY DEMONSTRATOR

The Saab’s unmanned demonstrator SHARC has completed in August 2004 a third flight test campaign. The Autonomous Take Off and Landing (ATOL) functions are herein described in detail. The results of the flight test campaign are reported. General recommendation about the design of ATOL functions for UAVs are given.
