MULTI BLOCK NAVIER STOKES SOLUTIONS OF LOW ASPECT RATIO RECTANGULAR FLAT WINGS IN COMPRESSIBLE FLOW

Two block parallel Navier Stokes solutions of an aspect ratio 1.0 flat plate with sharp edges are obtained at different Mach numbers and angles of attack. Baldwin Lomax turbulence model is used in the turbulent regions. Due to the fine features of the grids the convergence of the solutions are slow but steady. Strong side edge vortices are predicted easily. Prediction of the leading edge separation bubble is found to be a slowly converging phenomenon.
