FLOW CONTROL DOWNSTREAM OF A BACKWARD FACING STEP: A DPIV STUDY

In this paper the DPIV technique is used to analyze a control method for separated flows. The method consists in substituting the solid wall in the separated region by a porous wall under which lays a closed cavity. The global measurement technique allows to describe in detail the flow field evidencing the remarkable stabilization caused by the flow control.
