The design, data acquisition tests and the fabrication of the CFRP sandwich panel for an application to an aircraft nose were conducted. Through these activities, an engineering viability of CFRP sandwich panel was obtained and 23% weight reduction and 98% parts count reduction for composite parts comparing to a conventional metal structure were estimated.
