This paper describes the development of a pilot rig for multi-axis large-amplitude dynamic wind tunnel testing. This Pendulum Support Rig is aimed at generating data for mathematical modelling of time-dependent manoeuvring aircraft aerodynamics. Experimental results are discussed and a model is derived to represent longitudinal limit cycle behaviour.
