This paper presents simulations using advanced structured grids techniques available in the new CFD solver "elsA". Three aircraft applications were carried out : the assessment of ground effect using Chimera grids, the improvement of shock accuracy on a swept wing using an Adaptive Mesh Refinement technique, and the convergence acceleration using wall law function on an engine/airframe configuration.
