Keywords: launch vehicles, aerodynamics, knowledge-based systems

LVX is an integrated aerodynamic design and analysis procedure for launch vehicles which incorporates prediction methods, historical knowledge, and corporate memory into a knowledge-based system. LVX provides aerodynamic-related information needed during conceptual and preliminary design. The user has access to historical information and anecdotes, the ability to set up geometric characteristics, and the capability to predict preliminary aerodynamics.
