Keywords: rational approach to turbulence, unilateral-average, unified model for mean and coherent flows

Based on unilateral statistical average, the rational approach to turbulence is performed for incompressible flow. As the average captures the first-order statistical information of the fluctuations, the obtained equations preserve the key properties of turbulence. The final equations contain no empirical coefficients and wall functions and are able to describe statistical mean flow and coherent flow. Four typical benchmark turbulent flows are simulated to verify the adaptability of the model.
