Keywords: hypersonic non-equilibrium rarefied-gas flows, aero- & thermodynamic coefficients

Hypersonic viscous flows near simple-shape bodies (wedge, cone, disk, plate, sphere, and rotating cylinder) have been studied under the conditions of wind-tunnel experiments and hypersonic flights. The Direct Simulation Monte-Carlo technique has been used to study the influence of similarity parameters on aerodynamic coefficients in hypersonic streams of air, nitrogen, helium, and argon.
