Keywords: cabin design, comfort, profit, passenger requirements
Modern Cabin design has to take into account
the increasing requirements of passengers
concerning comfort, inflight Entertainment etc.
as well as the economic interests of the airlines
of maximizing their profit. These
contradictionary requirements influence
strongly new cabin concepts. In this poster we
introduce a customer driven development
process for cabin concepts. In a first step we
show, how passenger and airline requirements
can be evaluated and systematically translated
into requirements on a cabin . In a second step
these requirements will lead to a concept of a
cabin or special parts of a cabin. Then the
whole cabin is anaylsed by means of utility
value analysis as well as by cost estimations. At
last a prototypical or virtual demonstration
isused to test this cabin concept in an early
stage.
