Jet impingement has many applications in
aeronautics and industrial aerodynamics. The
effect of the impingement angle on the jet
impingement flow is studied for the Reynolds
number of 1.05x105. Impingement angle is taken
as 00, 50, 100, 150 and 200. Nondimensiomalised
impingement distance is H/w = 3.08. The mean
velocity and turbulence intensity profiles are
measured by using a constant-temperature hotwire
anemometer. Surface pressure
distributions along the impingement surface
were measured for comparison with hot-wire
resukts. Surface oil-film technique and smoke
visualization method was used to visualize the
flow pattern.
