A calculation method for predicting the
performance of airfoils, multi-element airfoils,
wings and multi-element wings based on an
interactive boundary-layer approach using an
improved Cebeci-Smith turbulence model is
described. Inviscid flow solutions based on
panel and full-potential methods are coupled to
an inverse finite difference method using
Veldman’s interaction law. Results are
presented for single and multi-element airfoil as
well as single and multi-element wing
configurations. Overall calculated results show
very good agreement with experiments..
